Educational Qualifications
- Essential Qualification: Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification.
- Technical Qualification: National Trade Certificate in the trade of Upholsterer.
- In the absence of candidates possessing the National Trade Certificate, Experience Certificate proving three years of experience in Upholsterer works issued by a Government/Quasi Government/Public Sector Undertaking or Registered Private Sector Undertaking.

Experience Certificate Format
The experience certificate should be in the following format:
- Name of Firm (Government/Quasi Government/Public Sector Undertaking/Registered Private Sector Undertaking)
- Registration Number (SSI Registration or any other Registration Number and Date of Registration)
- Authority from where registration obtained
- Name and Address of the Candidate
- Period of work with date details (DD/MM/YYYY format)
- Nature of employment: Regular/Temporary/Apprentice/Trainee/Casual Labourer
- Salary details (per day/per mensem)

Age Limit
- Age Limit: 18 - 40 years
- Date of Birth Range: Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible to apply.
- Age relaxation applicable to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities as per government rules.

Selection Process
- Practical Test: Proficiency of the candidate shall be evaluated by a Practical Test conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission.
- Document Verification: Original Documents to prove qualification, experience, age, community etc. have to be produced as and when called for.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official KPSC website. Follow the steps below:
- Visit the official KPSC website: www.keralapsc.gov.in
- Register as per "One Time Registration" on the website before applying for the post.
- Candidates who have already registered can apply by logging in to their profile using their User-ID and password.
- Click on the "Apply Now" button of the respective post in the Notification Link.
- Candidates who create a new profile should upload their photograph taken within a period of 6 months.
- Name of the candidate and date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion.
- The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading.
- Before final submission, ensure correctness of all information in the profile.
- Quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission.
- Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission.
- Keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference.
- Candidates who have Aadhaar Card should add Aadhaar Card as ID Proof in their profile.
- If written/OMR/Online Test is conducted, candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration Profile.
- Such candidates alone can generate and download the Admission Tickets in the last 15 days till the date of Test.
- Applications of candidates who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period will be rejected absolutely.

Important Instructions for Candidates
- Candidates who receive a profile message at any stage of the selection process directing them to upload documents should do so within the stipulated time; otherwise, they will not be considered for the next stage of the selection.
- In case of difference in Caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification along with Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification.
- Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instructions given in Part II, General Conditions before submitting application.
- Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure shall be initiated against candidates who submit applications with bogus claims.
- The Ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year.
- Disqualification for being considered for a particular post
- Debarment from applying to the Commission either permanently or for any period
- Invalidation of their answer scripts or products in written/practical tests
- Initiation of criminal or other proceedings against them
- Removal or dismissal from office if already appointed
