Vacancy Details (Stream-wise)

Total vacancies for SSC (Tech) 68th Course are 350. The stream-wise break-up is as follows:

Note: Candidates must have a degree strictly in the notified engineering streams and equivalent streams as listed in the official notification. Mismatch in stream nomenclature will result in cancellation of candidature.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Nationality: Citizen of India / Subject of Nepal / Person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with intention of permanently settling in India.
  • Gender: Unmarried Male only.
  • Marital Status: Candidates must not marry during training period. Marriage after application date but before training induction will lead to cancellation of candidature.

  • Age Range: 20 to 27 years as on 01 April 2027.
  • Born Between: 01 April 2000 and 31 March 2007 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification
  • Engineering Degree in notified streams from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Candidates in the final year of Engineering Degree course are also eligible to apply.
  • Final year candidates must submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination along with all semester/year marksheets by 01 April 2027.
  • Degree certificate must be produced within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at OTA, Gaya.
Important: Candidates whose final year/final semester exam result will be declared after 29 March 2027 are NOT eligible to apply.

Minimum Physical Standards

Candidates must acquire the following minimum physical standards before joining training academy:

Selection Process

The selection will consist of the following stages:
  • Stage 1: Shortlisting of Applications (based on cumulative percentage of marks up to final semester/year)
  • Stage 2: SSB Interview (5 Days) - Stage 1 & Stage 2
  • Stage 3: Medical Examination
  • Stage 4: Merit List Preparation
  • Stage 5: Issuance of Joining Letter for Training at OTA, Gaya
SSB Centres: Prayagraj (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka), and Jalandhar (Punjab)

SSB Period: October - December 2026

Medical Standards
  • Candidates must be medically fit as per the medical standards prescribed for Officers Entry into Army.
  • Medical Examination is conducted after Stage-2 of SSB.
  • Validity of SSB Medical Examination is 270 days (from SMB to PCTA joining date).
  • Candidates declared Medically Fit in any previous SSB Medical (within 270 days of 01 April 2027) need not undergo medical examination again.

Pay & Allowances

Stipend during Training: ₹56,100/- per month

Salary after Commissioning: CTC approx ₹17-18 Lakh per annum (excluding free medical cover and travel to hometown once a year)

Rank-wise Pay Structure:
  • Lieutenant: Level 10 (₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500)
  • Captain: Level 10B (₹61,300 - ₹1,93,900)
  • Major: Level 11 (₹69,400 - ₹2,07,200)
  • Lieutenant Colonel: Level 12A (₹1,21,200 - ₹2,12,400)
  • Colonel: Level 13 (₹1,30,600 - ₹2,15,900)
  • Brigadier: Level 13A (₹1,39,600 - ₹2,17,600)
  • Major General: Level 14 (₹1,44,200 - ₹2,18,200)
  • Lieutenant General HAG Scale: Level 15 (₹1,82,200 - ₹2,24,100)
Additional Allowances:
  • Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500/- per month (Lieutenant to Brigadier)
  • Dearness Allowance: As applicable to civilian personnel
  • Technical Allowance (Tier-I): ₹3,000/- per month
  • Technical Allowance (Tier-II): ₹4,500/- per month
  • Para Reserve Allowance: ₹2,625/- per month
  • Dress Allowance: ₹20,000/- per year
  • Transport Allowance (TPTA): As per pay level and city category
  • Children Education Allowance: ₹2,250/- per month per child

  • Insurance Cover: ₹1.25 Crore (as applicable to regular Army officers)
  • Subscription: ₹12,500/- per month (to be paid in advance on monthly basis)

  • Click on 'Registration' (if not already registered)
  • Fill the online registration form carefully
  • After registration, click on 'Apply Online' under Dashboard
  • Click on 'Apply' shown against SSC Technical Course
  • Fill the Application Form in various segments: Personal Information, Communication Details, Education Details, and Details of previous SSB
  • Save & Continue before moving to next segment
  • Verify all details before final submission
  • Click on 'Submit' to complete the application
  • Take two printouts of the application form (with Roll Number) after final closure of online application for future reference
Important Notes:
  • Aadhaar Number and Matriculation Certificate are mandatory for registration.
  • Only one online application per candidate is allowed.
  • No changes to details submitted in online application can be made after closure.
  • CGPA/Grades must be converted into Marks as per the formula adopted by the concerned University.
  • Candidate's name, parents' name, and date of birth must be as per Matriculation Certificate.

Important Instructions for Candidates
