Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is a Navaratna company and one of India's top professional electronics firms. It works under the Ministry of Defence and handles products across military communication, radars, naval systems, weapon systems, and electronic warfare.
This recruitment is for BEL's Panchkula unit in Haryana. The Project Engineer-I is engaged initially for three years, extendable by one more year based on project requirement and individual performance.
This is a technical role focused on chemical and plating plant operations. Candidates with hands-on experience in ETP, electroplating, and powder coating plants are preferred. Selected candidates may also be posted to other BEL locations or outstation sites as per company requirement.

Eligibility
- Qualification: BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering degree (4-year course) in Chemical with Pass Class, from an AICTE/UGC approved college or recognized university
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial work experience (as on 01.06.2026)
- Hands-on experience in: ETP plant, Electroplating plant, and Powder coating plant
- Age Limit: Maximum 32 years for General category (as on 01.06.2026); 10 years relaxation for PwBD and as per Govt. rules for Ex-Servicemen
Salary & Benefits
- 1st year: ₹40,000 per month
- 2nd year: ₹45,000 per month
- 3rd year: ₹50,000 per month
- 4th year: ₹55,000 per month
- Additional ₹12,000 per year towards insurance premium, attire, stitching, and footwear allowance
- Retention Bonus: ₹25,000 for each completed year, totaling ₹1,00,000 payable on completion of 4 years
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor discharge water from the electroplating plant into the chromium reduction and cyanide oxidation tanks, and its treatment in the ETP
- Monitor the chemical composition of plating processes like chromate conversion, anodizing, tin plating, and nickel plating
- Monitor painting and powder coating shades and operations, including stack emission
- Maintain log books and documentation as per central and state pollution control board norms, and prepare documents for audit

Selection Process
- Written test followed by interview
- Shortlisting for interview in 1:5 ratio (merit order) in each category
- Qualifying marks: General 35% (written and interview); PwBD 30%
- Weightage: 85% written test + 15% interview
- No TA/DA for attending the selection process

How to Apply
Application mode is online only, through the link on the BEL website. Read the full notification and check your eligibility before starting. Do not send any hard copy of the application or documents to BEL. Follow these steps:
- Step 1 – Keep documents ready: Before filling the form, keep a valid personal email ID and mobile number, a recent passport size colour photo (not older than 3 months), and your scanned signature ready. Use the same photo throughout the process.
- Step 2 – Pay the fee via SBI Collect: Go to www.onlinesbi.sbi and select State Bank Collect. Accept the terms, choose State as "All India", type as "PSU – Public Sector Undertaking", select "Bharat Electronics Limited", then pick the payment category "Project Engineer (Chemical)". Use the same mobile number and email ID as in your application. Complete the payment and save the receipt and SBI Collect Reference Number.
- Step 3 – Fill the online form: Open the apply link on the BEL website, enter all details carefully, and enter the SBI Collect Reference Number. You can edit details before submitting, but once submitted the form cannot be edited. The category once filled cannot be changed.
- Step 4 – Upload documents: Attach scanned copies of your photo, signature, SSLC/Matriculation certificate, Provisional/Final degree certificate, caste/disability certificate (if applicable), experience certificates with joining and relieving letters, NOC (if employed in PSU/Govt), SBI fee receipt, and a write-up of your roles and experience.
- Step 5 – Submit and save a copy: Submit the form before the last date and keep a printout of the application and payment slip for future reference. Apply early and do not wait for the last-minute rush.

Important Instructions / Note
- Only Indian citizens can apply
- Specialization in the degree must match the discipline in the advertisement, else the application is rejected
- Project Engineers currently working in BEL are not eligible to apply for this post

- Incomplete applications or those without required enclosures will be summarily rejected
- Any dispute is subject to courts at Panchkula / Chandigarh
