About Mahadayi PRAWAH
Mahadayi PRAWAH (Progressive River Authority for Welfare & Harmony) has been constituted under the Mahadayi Water Management Scheme, 2023, notified by the Government of India through Notification No. S.O.2238(E) dated 22 May 2023. The Authority has been established to implement the decisions of the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal (MWDT) and functions as a statutory body responsible for coordinated river water management among the beneficiary States of Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra. The headquarters of the Authority is located at Panaji, Goa. The Authority periodically recruits experienced officers on Deputation basis to strengthen environmental management, hydrology, regulation, monitoring and financial administration.

Extension of Last Date
- The Ministry of Jal Shakti has extended the last date for submission of applications for all four Mahadayi PRAWAH posts.
- The earlier closing date for receipt of applications was 04 May 2026.
- The application deadline has now been extended by 30 days from the date of publication of the extension notice in Employment News.
- The revised last date for submission of applications is 07 August 2026.
- All other terms, eligibility conditions and recruitment rules mentioned in the original vacancy notification remain unchanged.

Educational Qualification & Eligibility
- Member (Environmental Issues)
- Officers under the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, Universities, Recognized Research Institutions, Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organizations are eligible to apply.
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
- OR with 02 years regular service in Level-13A or equivalent.
- OR with 03 years regular service in Level-13 or equivalent.
- Possessing a Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, Natural Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
- Experience in environmental impact assessment, river ecology, environmental conservation, water resources management or related fields.
- Member (Hydrology)
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis.
- OR with 02 years regular service in Level-13A.
- OR with 03 years regular service in Level-13.
- Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Hydrology or Master's Degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in hydrology, river basin planning, water resources assessment and hydrological investigations.
- Member (Monitoring and Regulation)
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis.
- OR with 02 years regular service in Level-13A.
- OR with 03 years regular service in Level-13.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
- Experience in monitoring, regulation, irrigation projects, river basin management and water resources administration.
- Director (Finance)
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis.
- OR with 05 years regular service in Level-12 or equivalent.
- Degree from a recognized University.
- Experience in Government Finance, Accounts, Budget, Audit, Financial Management or related fields.
Experience Required
- Experience in Government administration and public service.
- Experience related to river basin management, hydrology, environmental management, irrigation projects or financial administration depending upon the post applied for.
- Knowledge of Central Government rules, regulations and administrative procedures.
- Experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and policy formulation.
- Experience in coordination with Central Government, State Governments and statutory organizations.
- Technical and administrative experience relevant to the respective post.
Pay Scale & Allowances
- Member Posts: Level-14 (7th CPC) – ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200.
- Director (Finance): Level-13 (7th CPC) – ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900.
- Officers appointed on Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract) shall receive pay and allowances as admissible under Government of India rules.
- Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance and other admissible allowances shall be regulated as per Government rules.
- Leave, medical facilities, LTC, pensionary benefits and other service conditions shall be governed by Government of India rules.
- The period of Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract) shall ordinarily not exceed 05 years.
