About Department of Water Resources (DoWR)
The Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD & GR) functions under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India and is responsible for the planning, development, conservation and sustainable management of the country's water resources. The department formulates national policies relating to irrigation, river basin management, groundwater development, flood control and water conservation while coordinating various programmes with State Governments and other organizations. Educational Qualification & Eligibility
- Officers under the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, Agricultural Universities, Recognised Research Institutions, Autonomous Organisations or Statutory Bodies are eligible to apply.
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
- OR with 05 years of regular service in Level-12 of the Pay Matrix or equivalent.
- Possessing a Master's Degree in Agriculture from a recognised University or equivalent qualification.
- Having experience in agricultural planning, irrigation management, command area development, agricultural water management, crop planning or related agricultural disciplines.
- Candidates should possess sound knowledge of agricultural practices, water resources planning, irrigation systems and government policies related to agriculture and water management.
Experience Required
- Experience in agricultural administration and Government service.
- Experience in irrigation agriculture, command area development or agricultural water management.
- Knowledge of Central Government rules, regulations and administrative procedures.
- Experience in planning, implementation and monitoring of agricultural development programmes.
- Experience in coordination with Central Government, State Governments and other organizations.
- Experience in policy formulation, project implementation and technical evaluation related to agriculture and water resources.
Pay Scale & Allowances
- Pay Level: Level-13 (7th CPC)
- Pay Scale: ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900
- Officers appointed on Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract) shall receive pay and allowances as admissible under Government of India rules.
- Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance and other admissible allowances shall be regulated as per applicable Government rules.
- Leave, medical facilities, LTC, pensionary benefits and other service conditions shall be governed by Government of India rules.
- The period of Deputation (Including Short-Term Contract), including any period of deputation in another ex-cadre post immediately preceding this appointment, shall ordinarily not exceed 05 years.
