Orissa Minerals Development Company Limited (OMDC) is a Schedule ‘B’ CPSE operating in the Minerals and Metal sector under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel. Incorporated on 16 August 1918, the company is engaged in the exploration and mining of Iron Ore and Manganese Ore. The company operates mines in Keonjhar District, Odisha and has its registered and corporate office at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. As on 31 March 2026, OMDC had 160 regular employees.

Job Responsibilities
The Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the Organization and is accountable to the Board of Directors and Government/Shareholders.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Overall management and administration of OMDC.
- Achieving corporate objectives and performance parameters.
- Strategic planning and policy implementation.
- Efficient functioning of mining operations.
- Business growth and organizational development.
- Leadership of the corporation and workforce.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 45 Years
- Internal Candidates: Minimum 2 years residual service as on date of vacancy.
- Other Candidates: Minimum 3 years residual service as on date of vacancy.
- Age of Superannuation: 60 Years
- Engineering Graduate
- OR Chartered Accountant (CA)
- OR Cost Accountant (CMA)
- Qualification must be from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 05 years cumulative experience during the last 10 years.
- Experience in Finance, Business Development, Production, Operations, Marketing or Project Management in a large organization of repute.
- Experience in Mining Sector will be preferred.
- Minimum 05 years experience in HR/IR/Personnel Management.
- Along with at least 03 years experience in Finance, Business Development, Production, Operations, Marketing or Project Management during the last 10 years.
- Mining sector experience will be preferred.
