The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Government of India, invites applications from eligible officers/officials for appointment to the posts of Technical Examiner (TE), Assistant Technical Examiner (ATE) and Assistant Technical Examiner (Horticulture) [ATE(H)] on deputation basis. In addition to basic pay, selected officers will be entitled to allowances as admissible under Government of India rules. Applications must be forwarded through proper channel and should reach the Commission on or before 21 July 2026.

Educational Qualification & Eligibility
Technical Examiner (TE)
- Officers of the Central Government:
- Holding the post of Executive Engineer or equivalent in Level-11 on regular basis; OR
- Holding the post of Assistant Executive Engineer or equivalent in Level-10 with 04 years regular service in the grade.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any branch of Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
- Experience in contract execution.
- Material management.
- Public procurement.
- Quality assurance.
- Legal and policy issues related to procurement.
- Compliance and vigilance in public procurement.
- Contract management.
- Post Graduate Degree in any branch of Engineering.
- OR Bachelor Degree in Law (3-year or 5-year regular course).
- OR Any specialized qualification relevant to technical subjects.
- Experience in vigilance or oversight organizations.
- Officers of the status of Assistant Engineers of the Government of India.
- OR Officers holding analogous posts in State Governments/Union Territories.
- Qualification and experience in Engineering/Diploma (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Materials Management).
- Officers of the status of Assistant Engineers (Horticulture) in Government Engineering Departments.
- OR Officers holding analogous posts in State Governments/Union Territories.
Important Dates

- Applications must reach the Central Vigilance Commission within 45 days from the date of publication of the vacancy circular in Employment News.
Selection Process
- Screening of Applications.
- Verification of Service Records and Documents.
- Assessment of Eligibility Conditions.
- Scrutiny of ACRs/APARs for the Last 05 Years.
- Vigilance Clearance Verification.
- Final Selection on Deputation Basis by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
Terms & Conditions
- The appointments are on deputation basis.
- The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 03 years.
- The maximum age for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
- Pay, allowances and other service benefits shall be governed as per Government of India rules applicable to deputation posts.
- Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion are not eligible for appointment on deputation.
- Similarly, deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
- Applications must be forwarded through proper channel by the concerned Ministry/Department.
- Candidates selected for deputation will be relieved immediately by the parent department.
- Incomplete applications or applications received after the prescribed last date will not be considered.
- Vacancies are subject to change and may increase or decrease as per requirement.
Important Instructions
- Applications must be submitted only in the prescribed format (Annexure-I).
- Applications should be forwarded through the competent authority of the parent department.
- Attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 05 years must be enclosed.
- A certificate confirming that no disciplinary case is pending or contemplated against the officer must be attached.
- A valid Vigilance Clearance Certificate must be enclosed.
- Candidates should clearly mention the post applied for (TE / ATE / ATE(H)).
- Applications received without the required documents are liable to be rejected.
- The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum requirements and do not automatically guarantee selection.
- Shortlisting for consideration does not assure appointment.
- The Commission reserves the right to modify, cancel or amend the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
How to Apply
- Interested and eligible officers should apply in the prescribed application format (Annexure-I).
- Applications must be forwarded through proper channel by the concerned Ministry/Department/State Government/UT Administration.
- The completed application should be sent to the Under Secretary (Admn.), Central Vigilance Commission, Satarkta Bhawan, Block-A, GPO Complex, INA, New Delhi – 110023.
- Applications may also be forwarded to the Commission through the official channel along with all required documents.
- The application must be accompanied by:
- Attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 05 years.
- Certificate stating that no disciplinary case is pending or contemplated.
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
- Duly completed application form in prescribed format.
- Applications should reach the Commission within 45 days from the date of publication of the vacancy circular in Employment News.
- Incomplete applications and applications received after the closing date will not be entertained.
