The Division of Environmental Sciences, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has invited applications for Online Interview for the recruitment of 01 Research Associate (RA), 01 Young Professional-II (YP-II) and 01 Young Professional-I (YP-I) under the MOEFCC funded projects titled "Developing scaling factors of methane and nitrous oxide emissions from rice cultivation under different management practices (MOEFCC-I)" and "GHG emission inventory from agricultural soils and rice cultivation for Preparation of India's Second and Third Biennial Transparency Report (MOEFCC-II)". The appointments are purely temporary and contractual. Interested candidates must submit their applications through email on or before 18 June 2026. Eligible shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the online interview tentatively scheduled on 25 June 2026.

Educational Qualification
Research Associate (RA)
- Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences / Plant Physiology from a recognized University or Institution.
- Minimum 05 years research experience in greenhouse gas emission measurement from rice fields and emission factor development.
- Experience in chromatographic GHG analysis.
- Volatilization loss studies.
- Crop modelling.
- Data analysis software.
- Master's Degree (First Class) in Environmental Sciences from a recognized University or Institution.
- Minimum 02 years experience in GHG measurement and gas chromatographic analysis.
- Proficiency in data analysis software.
- Soil and plant analysis.
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institution.
- Minimum 01 year experience in GHG sampling and chromatographic analysis.
- Working experience of Gas Chromatograph.
- Canopy Analyser operation.
Salary & Benefits
- Research Associate (RA): ₹61,000/- + HRA per month.
- Young Professional-II (YP-II): ₹42,000/- per month (Consolidated).
- Young Professional-I (YP-I): ₹30,000/- per month (Consolidated).
Age Limit
- Research Associate (RA): Maximum 40 Years.
- SC/ST & Women Candidates: 05 Years relaxation.
- OBC Candidates: 03 Years relaxation.
- Young Professional-I & II: Maximum 45 Years.
- Age will be calculated as on 30 May 2026.
Nature of Appointment
- The posts are purely temporary and contractual.
- Appointments are valid up to 31 March 2027.
- The tenure may be extended if the projects are extended.
- The appointments are project-based and co-terminus with the project.
- No claim for regular appointment at ICAR-IARI shall be entertained.

Terms & Conditions
- The posts are purely temporary and contractual.
- Appointments will initially remain valid up to 31 March 2027.
- The tenure may be extended if the projects are extended.
- The selected candidates shall not claim any regular appointment at ICAR-IARI.
- The appointments are co-terminus with the project.
- Original documents and medical fitness certificate from IARI Dispensary must be produced at the time of joining.
- Only candidates possessing the essential qualifications and required experience will be shortlisted.
- The Director, ICAR-IARI reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview without assigning any reason.
- The Director reserves the right to terminate the contractual engagement before completion of the project without assigning any reason.
