The Division of Fruits & Horticultural Technology, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement of 04 Field Worker posts under two research projects. The appointments are purely temporary, contractual and project-based. Interested candidates may attend the Walk-in-Interview on 23 June 2026.

- Field Worker – 03 Posts
- Project: Regional Awareness and Knowledge Exchange on Natural Farming through Development and Demonstration of Diversified Fruit Farming Systems (Fruits + Seasonal Field, Vegetable and Flower Crops)
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹18,000/- (Consolidated)
- Field Worker – 01 Post
- Project: Novel Mutants in Guava for Enhanced Seed Mellowness
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹20,000/- (Consolidated)

Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification:
- 8th Pass.
- Preparation of potting mixture.
- Planting and seed sowing.
- Training and pruning of fruit crops.
- Experience in horticultural field activities.
Salary & Benefits
- Field Worker (03 Posts) – ₹18,000/- per month (Consolidated).
- Field Worker (01 Post) – ₹20,000/- per month (Consolidated).
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 50 Years.
- Age Relaxation: 05 Years for SC/ST/OBC and Women Candidates as per ICAR rules.
Nature of Appointment
- The posts are purely temporary and contractual.
- The engagement is project-based and co-terminus with the project.
- No claim for regular appointment under ICAR shall be entertained.
- The tenure will not extend beyond December 2026.

Selection Process
- Screening of Applications.
- Walk-in-Interview.
- Document Verification.
- Assessment of Educational Qualifications.
- Evaluation of Relevant Experience and Suitability for the Project.
- Final Selection by the Competent Authority.
Terms & Conditions
- The engagement will be purely contractual, temporary and project-based.
- The appointment shall remain valid only for the duration of the project and shall not extend beyond December 2026.
- The selected candidate shall have no claim for regular appointment under ICAR or ICAR-IARI.
- The engagement may be terminated with one month's notice if performance is found unsatisfactory.
- Services shall automatically terminate upon completion of the project period.
- Original documents of selected and waitlisted candidates will be verified before issue of the offer letter.
- Candidates employed in Government Departments, PSUs or Autonomous Bodies must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
Important Instructions
- Only candidates possessing the essential qualifications and valid certificates will be considered for interview.
- Candidates may be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria, educational performance and relevant experience.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Candidates must bring the application form, biodata, original certificates, self-attested photocopies and a recent passport-size photograph.
- Concealing facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification or termination of engagement.
- Any corrigendum or modification regarding this recruitment will be published only on the official IARI website.
- Selected candidates may be required to submit a medical fitness certificate at the time of joining.
- The decision of the Joint Director (Research), ICAR-IARI, New Delhi shall be final and binding.
- Any dispute arising out of this recruitment shall be subject to the jurisdiction of New Delhi Courts only.
