Eligibility Criteria
For Deputation
- IAS Officers under the Central Government or State Governments.
- Officers from PSUs, Semi-Government Organizations, Autonomous Bodies, Universities, Deemed Universities or Statutory Organizations.
- Candidates should be empanelled for the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
- Administrative-cum-practical experience in rural development is essential.
- Cooling-off period shall be applicable as per Government of India rules.
- Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Social Science.
- Preferred Specialization: Rural Development or Development Administration from a recognized Institute, University or Academy.
- Essential Experience: Minimum 15 years of senior-level experience in Government, Universities, Research Institutions, International Institutions, Policy Bodies or similar organizations.
- Candidates should possess at least 8 years of experience in developmental administration, rural development programmes or administration of major institutions related to rural development.
- Desirable Experience: Administration of academic or training institutions in rural development.
- Preference will be given to candidates having field experience in rural areas in India and abroad with demonstrated achievements in implementing innovative rural development programmes.
Age Limit
- Direct Recruitment: Preferably below 50 years.
- Maximum Age for Deputation: 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
- Age relaxation shall be applicable as per Government of India rules.
Salary & Benefits
- Pay Band: Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 (PB-4)
- Grade Pay: Rs. 10,000/-
- The post carries emoluments, allowances, and privileges admissible to the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India.
- Pensionary benefits shall be applicable as per Government of India rules.
