Job Responsibilities
Director (Operations) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports directly to the Chairman & Managing Director.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading Production Divisions and ensuring effective implementation of production plans.
- Corporate Planning & Projects management.
- Joint Ventures, Offsets and Modernization initiatives.
- Indigenization and Business Development activities.
- Quality Assurance and Customer Services.
- Management Services and Information Technology.
- Outsourcing and Risk Management functions.
- Flight Testing and operational excellence.
- Monitoring long-term and annual operational plans.
- Maintaining effective relationships with collaborators, vendors, suppliers and Government agencies.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 45 Years
- Internal Candidates: Minimum 2 years residual service as on vacancy date.
- Other Candidates: Minimum 3 years residual service as on vacancy date.
- Age of Superannuation: 60 Years
- Engineering Graduate from a recognized University / Institution.
- Preference will be given to candidates possessing degrees in:
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Computer Science Engineering
- Metallurgy Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Postgraduate qualification in the above engineering disciplines is desirable.
- Technical or operational experience at senior management level.
- Minimum 5 years experience during the last 10 years in the Aeronautical Industry.
- Experience in Manufacturing or Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) of Aircraft, Aero Engines, Accessories and Avionics is desirable.
- Experience in the Defence Industry will be an added advantage.
