🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• A Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Engineering/Technology or
  • Science (Mathematics/Physics) from a recognized University/Institution.
• Mandatory Document: Final year degree mark sheet with consolidated marks in graduation.

Post-Qualification Experience

• Essential:
  • Retired officers from Central Ministries/Departments, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies.
  • Minimum 25 years of experience.
  • Must have worked at a level equivalent to Senior Research Officer (Level-11 of 7th CPC) or above (e.g., Under Secretary, AGM, ADG, or higher in Central Government Ministries/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies).
  • Experience in Telecom/Broadcasting sectors or Central Regulatory Bodies is required.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 63 years
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per TRAI rules (refer to the official notification for details).

Salary and Allowances

• Monthly Remuneration:
  • For officers retired under Old Pension Scheme:
    • 50% of the last basic pay (as per the level of the post) or ₹65,000/-, whichever is less.
  • For officers retired under New Pension Scheme:
    • Last basic pay minus 30% of the last basic pay or ₹65,000/-, whichever is less (as per GOI, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure guidelines).
• Transport Allowance:
  • ₹7,200/- (fixed) per month or the rate applicable at the time of retirement, whichever is lower.

Nature of Duties

• Carry out functions under the TRAI Act.
• Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Advisor, TRAI Regional Office.
• Services will be governed by TRAI Guidelines No. A-25/4/(3)/2021-A&P dated 24 July 2023.
