Vacancy Details

The Punjab State Cooperative Bank Ltd. invites applications for the co-option of two Professional Directors on its Board in compliance with:

• Section 26(a)(4) of The Punjab Cooperative Societies Act, 1961
• Bye-Law No. 29.7 of the Bank

Key Provisions:

• They must meet RBI’s “Fit and Proper” criteria.
• Co-opted directors will not have voting rights.
• They cannot hold office bearer positions in the society.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational & Professional Qualifications (as per NABARD & RBI Guidelines)

Candidates must have minimum 5 years of experience in any of the following fields:

1. Accountancy (Qualified CA/ICWA)
2. Banking (Senior/Middle Management level)
3. Agriculture & Rural Development (Agriculture Graduate/Post-graduate/Agriculture Engineer)
4. Law (LLB/LLM)
5. Finance/Economics/Commerce/Management (MBA/Post-graduate in Finance/Commerce/Economics)
6. Auditing & Related Fields

Additional Conditions (RBI Fit & Proper Criteria)

• Depositors/borrowers of the bank are not disqualified unless they have commercial dealings.
• No business relationship with the bank in the last 3 years (e.g., contractor, legal advisor, auditor).
• Must submit a declaration (Annex-I) that they will not engage in professional work (audit/legal services) with the bank during and 2 years after their term.

Selection Process

• Shortlisted candidates may be invited for further discussion or an interview.
