The East Coast Railway has announced the re-engagement of retired Railway employees for 04 contractual vacancies of Chief Law Assistant (Level-7) in the General Administration Department, as per Notice No. ECoR/Pers/01/Re-engagement/Retd.Emp./CLA/501 dated 16.04.2025. Eligible retired personnel who previously held this post and pay level can apply offline before the closing date 13.05.2025 (18:15 hrs). This initiative, aligned with Railway Board’s directive (Letter No. E(NG)II/2024/RC-4/9), leverages the experience of retired staff to strengthen legal administration. ✅ Eligibility Criteria:
- Only retired employees from the Chief Law Assistant cadre may apply.
- Maximum age limit: 65 years as on 14.10.2026.
- Must have earned a minimum “Good” grading in last 5 APARs.
- Applicants retired under SRRS/LARSGESS or due to disciplinary reasons are not eligible.
- Fitness: Must meet medical standards (C-1 category).

💰 Remuneration:
- Monthly consolidated amount (adjusted against pension).
- No increment, DA or HRA will be provided.
- Transport allowance admissible as per last drawn rates.
- Paid leave: 1.5 days/month of completed service (no carry-over allowed).
