The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining the overall safety and security of the entire 250-acre CSIR-CBRI campus, including its research laboratories, staff colonies, and infrastructure. The role demands effective supervision of security staff, ensuring seamless security operations such as access control, surveillance, emergency handling, and crime prevention.

The candidate must have prior defense or paramilitary experience, leadership skills, and the ability to manage teams in complex institutional environments. Duties also include conducting internal investigations, liaising with local law enforcement, and ensuring fire safety compliance. Knowledge of firearms handling and firefighting techniques is essential.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

✍️ Selection Process

Stage 1: Physical & Personality Test (Qualifying Nature)

Only candidates who meet the required physical standards and pass the physical test will proceed to the next stage.

Stage 2: Written Examination

• Paper-I (Objective): Mental Ability & General Awareness
  • 100 Marks | Duration: 90 Minutes
• Paper-II (Descriptive): Security Regulations, Fire Safety, Report Writing
  • 100 Marks | Duration: 2 Hours
  • Minimum 35% in Paper-II is required to qualify for merit list consideration.
