🎓 Eligibility Criteria
A. Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s in Hindi or English with the other as a compulsory/elective subject or medium
OR - Master’s in any subject with Hindi/English as medium + recognized Translation Diploma/Certificate
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of translation experience in Government/PSUs
OR - Diploma/Certificate in Translation (Hindi ↔ English)
Desirable:
- Matric-level knowledge of an Eighth Schedule language
- Degree/Diploma in Translation
B. Hindi Officer (HO)
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s in Hindi or English with the other language as elective/compulsory/medium
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in translation, terminological work, teaching, or research in Hindi/English
Desirable:
- Admin experience
- Matric-level knowledge of an Eighth Schedule language
🧪 Selection Procedure
Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)
- Paper I (Objective): General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness – 150 marks
- Paper II (Descriptive): Translation and Precis Writing – 300 marks
- Final Merit: Based on Paper II
Hindi Officer (HO)
- Written Exam (MCQ): 300 marks
- Interview: 100 marks
- Final Merit: 75% Written + 25% Interview
- Exam Centre: Roorkee
