A. Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s in Hindi or English with the other as a compulsory/elective subject or medium
    OR
  • Master’s in any subject with Hindi/English as medium + recognized Translation Diploma/Certificate

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of translation experience in Government/PSUs
    OR
  • Diploma/Certificate in Translation (Hindi ↔ English)

Desirable:

  • Matric-level knowledge of an Eighth Schedule language
  • Degree/Diploma in Translation
B. Hindi Officer (HO)

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s in Hindi or English with the other language as elective/compulsory/medium

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in translation, terminological work, teaching, or research in Hindi/English

Desirable:

  • Admin experience
  • Matric-level knowledge of an Eighth Schedule language

Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)
  • Paper I (Objective): General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness – 150 marks
  • Paper II (Descriptive): Translation and Precis Writing – 300 marks
  • Final Merit: Based on Paper II
Hindi Officer (HO)
  • Written Exam (MCQ): 300 marks
  • Interview: 100 marks
  • Final Merit: 75% Written + 25% Interview
  • Exam Centre: Roorkee
